Its name means “giant swan”. The Olorotitan is part of the hadrosaur group like Iguanodon. This group is characterized by a duckbill. It was the largest of the hadrosaurids. Its long neck had 18 vertebrae. It is among the last dinosaurs to have walked the earth and is thought to have lived through the extinction of the dinosaurs.
The Olorotitan was a gregarious herbivore that lived in large herds. It was an ornithischian dinosaur with a pelvis similar to that of a bird.
