Europasaurus was a small sauropod that lived on the island of Lower Saxony in Germany. This isolation due to its insular lifestyle is why it had a “small size” for a sauropod. Its appearance resembled that of brachiosaurus, but much smaller, of course. Its growth rate was slower than other dinosaurs in this group. The name Europasaurus means “lizard of Europe”.
