The white rhinoceros is found in South Africa, Kenya, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. Males are solitary and territorial, while females live in groups of six individuals and move freely from the territory of one male to another. Herbivorous, it feeds on grass which it cuts close to the ground thanks to its flat and thick lips. This also helps to prevent the spread of fires. This animal has very poor eyesight, which is why it tends to charge—more for defense than for attack—even before knowing what is in front of it. Its two horns are then deterrent weapons. Conversely, it has a highly developed sense of hearing and smell.
