An especially intense El Niño event, nicknamed “Godzilla,” is creating extremely dry conditions and fueling wildfires that threaten tropical forests and their wildlife.
In response, Zoo d’Amnéville is joining forces with Borneo Nature Foundation France to support local teams fighting the fires on the ground.
Community fire crews are working to contain the fires and protect the forests with firefighting equipment, patrols, and monitoring systems.
Watch the video to learn what’s happening in Borneo and why this effort matters.
Zoo d’Amnéville will match your donations
To make an even bigger impact, the Zoo d’Amnéville Endowment Fund will match donations to this fundraiser, up to €1,500.
That means every donation brings even more support to the teams on the ground.
