A new event to travel all summer
The Summer Festival of Amnéville Zoo is coming until September 12th inclusive! No need for a passport to travel to Bali this summer, thanks to our brand new event!
With family, friends, or even alone, this festival will be a real invitation to travel and discover a new culture. It is also an opportunity to (re)discover all the animals in the park that make up our “Asian jungle” sector.
Total immersion in Balinese culture
All day long, you can watch demonstrations of topeng tua, puspanjali, and joged bumbung, followed by photo sessions and dance introductions for anyone interested.
Topeng Tua This Balinese masked theater stages mythological and historical characters through expressive masks and precise movements. Each mask represents a specific character with its own story and personality. Barong Barong, the king of good spirits in Balinese mythology, symbolizes strength and courage. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the incarnation of bravery and spirit. Joged Bumbung This social dance is often performed during festivals and community celebrations. It is characterized by its interactivity, as dancers sometimes invite spectators to join them on stage to dance. Sekar Jagat This beautiful performance, with ‘Sekar’ meaning fragrant flower and ‘Jagat’ meaning the world, symbolizes peace in the universe. Join us and let the grace of this dance captivate your hearts.
