Discover the behind-the-scenes of the giraffe area at the Amnéville Zoo and enjoy a special moment up close with these iconic animals.

Have you ever watched a giraffe from behind the scenes of its building?

At the Amnéville Zoo, in Moselle, this experience allows you to discover areas usually reserved for keepers and better understand the daily life of giraffes.

Accompanied by an educational guide, you will visit the behind-the-scenes areas of the facility, discover how the buildings operate and how the animals are cared for before participating in feeding them.

This special encounter is an opportunity to observe giraffes from a new perspective, learn more about their lifestyle, and converse with our teams about their behavior, diet, and well-being.

On the program

Lasting 30 minutes, and in small groups, an animal keeper will guide you behind the scenes of our show
Visit all our birds of prey facilities, get close to the species participating in the show, and discover how our keepers work with them to combine well-being and learning

The backstage tour requires the purchase of a zoo entrance ticket + a guided tour ticket

This activity takes place on September 5th and 6th, 2026, with 3 time slots per day
Please arrive 5 minutes before the start of the tour at the “Birds of Prey Feeding” meeting point

Children aged 4 to 14 must be accompanied by an adult, who must also have a ticket for the backstage tour.

Delay:
Any person who is late will be refused access to the feeding and will not be reimbursed.

Animal welfare:
Observation and interaction are carried out with respect for the animals, the animals cannot be petted.
Animal welfare being our priority, it is possible that at the time of the activity, the animals may not be hungry. No refund will be provided if this situation occurs.
