A surprise that visitors weren’t expecting on their route, our pair of African lions gave birth to 2 little lion cubs on September 6, 2021.
They were born on August 22 at the end of the day in front of visitors who were amazed by this magnificent spectacle of nature.
OUR LION FAMILY
Our pair of African lions, Helios, the 17-year-old male, and Isis, the 12-year-old female, have not had their first litter; they already had a birth in June 2013.
Surprise for the visitors and zoo teams who were not expecting a new birth from this pair given the advanced age of the male. A male will typically live up to 12 years old in his natural environment.
This pair has lasted for years: they are very close on a daily basis and are together every day.
