Animals

A wild world in the heart of Europe

Impressive species and rare animals

From the largest carnivores in the world with brown bears, the majestic Siberian tigers and African lions, to the most impressive monkeys like gorillas or orangutans not to mention the largest animals in the world with elephants, giraffes and rhinos passing by a large collection of birds and raptors. Young or old, discover one of the largest biodiversity in France. Among our other exceptional species, come and meet the caracal, the giant anteater, the amphibious hippopotamus, the arctic wolf, the wild dog, the red panda, the emperor tamarind or the land tapir.

Rare animal species, critically endangered, are also preserved there within European breeding programs such as love panthers, cheetahs, tamanduas and pinched tamarins.

Committed to the conservation of species, the park participates in their preservation by welcoming hundreds of births each year, some of which are vital for species that are dangerously disappearing from our planet.

An invitation to the wonder of nature on 5 continents

A preserved and exotic space located in the heart of Europe, in Amnéville in the Grand Est region. Spread over 18 hectares, the park is an exceptional place for you to experience more than a visit: a day of wonder to observe and make you aware of nature. You will thus enjoy a fun and educational moment with your family in our park where more than 2000 animals live in harmony. If you are looking for a family outing in Moselle, Lorraine or the Grand Est region, the Amnéville Zoological Park will be a unique experience.

Visiting the animal park invites you on a journey to discover our world. Our animals evolve there in landscapes that are as close as possible to their natural environment: from the African plain where giraffes, zebras and cobs coexist to the Gorilla ‘Camp and its tropical setting in a traditional Congolese village, to the lush Amazonian jungle, passing by by the amazing great apes of Asia, in the tropical vivarium and its impressive reptiles and turtles. So, if you want to spend a day at the zoo near Strasbourg, Metz, Nancy, Luxembourg, Troyes or Reims, Amnéville Zoo is a must-see destination in eastern France!
